We caught him enjoying the change in the weather after a week of thunder storms in Golden Bay. Obviously word is getting out about “A gnome away from home” in August this year.

The Garden Gnomes from around the world and even Nelson are planning to converge on Collingwood near Farewell Spit in Golden Bay for the second "A Gnome away from Home weekend" in the last weekend of August.

The 30th and 31st of August are the dates for the second annual "A Gnome away from home " weekend.

On Saturday 20th October, the annual fireworks display happens in the Collingwood haven. The action starts at 3.00pm with a car cutting display by the collingwood Volunteer fire brigade.
