Banded Godwit
There have been numerous sightings of banded birds on the trips this summer.
More so this year than any other.
John saw a Godwit with a yellow flag or band on each leg today they were high on the left leg and low on the right.

The highlight of Market Day was the arrival of our Golden Bay collectible car club with an vast array of beautiful motors of all styles parked up on Tasman Street. The Raft Race proved ever popular with rafts and crafts battling tide and wind. Missiles fired from Aorere Bridge are a quirky (and smelly) local tradition. A summer highlight in the Collingwood calendar.
